The end of the experiment
Right, well, the experiment is now over, mainly because they have germinated and some of them have formed shoots! I am very excited and I hope that you are too!!
A lot has been learnt through this experiment, things I didn't think I would even need for my dissertation but it turns out, I have plenty of data and plenty of information that allowed me to write something relevant and pretty awesome in my eyes!
Unfortunately a lot of the petri-dishes got infected with pathogens, this was more than likely caused by gaps in the parafilm, where it had split, allowing for pathogens to enter the culture plate, but it could also due human error or contamination when the media or seeds were put into the petri-dishes. I will put some photos below!
The findings might encourage further research into a MSc or Phd, maybe not straight away though :P
